My name is Sara Gosney, and I’m the Director and a Teacher at Nest Family Child Care.
I thought that my future was destined for the world of Graphic Design, after earning two B.A. degrees in Filmmaking and Design. But after moving to California, my daughter Maggie was born. From the very beginning, raising her and watching her grow up was such an overwhelming joy. It was a turning point for me, and I knew my career needed to change to focus on children. With my now almost two and a half year old daughter, I’m so happy to be able to care for and educate other children in my home.
I continued on the path to accomplishing my goal by enrolling and completing Early Childhood Education coursework at DeAnza College and Foothill College in California. I then went on to obtain a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (read more about these permits here). In addition, I was licensed through California State to have a small family child care home (License #434414077), am certified in both Pediatric CPR & First Aid care and have passed a State and Federal criminal background check.
