My name is Sara, owner, director and early childhood educator at Nest Family Child Care.

I thought that my future was destined for the world of art making, after earning degrees in both Filmmaking and Graphic Design. After my daughter was born, I felt compelled to focus my career on children. With my now ten year old daughter, I’ve been grateful for the privilege to care for and educate children in my home for the past nine years.

I continued on the path to accomplishing my goal by completing Early Childhood Education coursework at DeAnza College (Cupertino, CA), Foothill College (Los Altos Hills, CA), and Front Range Community College in Colorado. I later continued my education and received a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Colorado Denver (MA in Innovative Early Childhood Education in partnership with the Boulder Journey School).

I’m a certified Early Childhood Teacher in Colorado, hold a level 5 Early Childhood Professional 3.0 Credential (large center director qualified), and my program is licensed through the State of Colorado Office of Early Childhood (License #1730611).
